The Invention of Morel - Book Jacket

This project redesigns the book jacket for The Invention of Morel, using a collage of images.
The book is written as a journal of the main character, so I wanted to design the jacket to look somewhat handmade. I decided to layer several old maps over each other for the background, hinting at the character's journey across the island as he attempted to map it out himself. I also edited an image of a woman to look ghostly, and "taped" it the cover, another piece of foreshadowing.
