Redesigned book jacket of The Picture of Dorian Gray, as well as typography and layout design of inner pages.
For this project, I wanted to hint at the plot by depicting the interlinked subjects and domino effect of Dorian's actions. The dark moody colors, gradient from light to dark, bloody knife, and maze of lines all foreshadow the tragedy, drama, mystery, and ultimate descent the main character faces.
The worn textured paper and serif font also aim to draw the reader into the time period the story takes place in.
